Honoring Excellence in Idaho Agriculture
The Idaho Agriculture Leadership Award is presented annually by Idaho Farmers to recognize individuals, families, and organizations that have made extraordinary contributions to Idaho agriculture. The award honors those who demonstrate excellence in agricultural production, land stewardship, community service, policy leadership, or innovation that strengthens Idaho’s agricultural economy and rural communities.
About the Award
The Idaho Agriculture Leadership Award was established to highlight the people and organizations whose dedication and vision have shaped agriculture across the state. Recipients are selected based on their lasting impact on Idaho farming, ranching, and rural life. The award is presented each year at the Idaho Farmers Annual Meeting by Executive Director Patrick J. Wolf.
Selection Criteria
- Agricultural Excellence: Demonstrated achievement in farming, ranching, or agricultural business that has advanced the industry in Idaho.
- Land and Water Stewardship: Outstanding commitment to conservation, soil health, water management, or environmental responsibility on working lands.
- Community Impact: Meaningful contributions to rural communities through leadership, mentorship, volunteerism, or economic development.
- Policy Leadership: Advocacy, public service, or policy work that has improved conditions for Idaho farmers and ranchers.
- Innovation: Adoption or development of new practices, technologies, or approaches that have improved agricultural outcomes in Idaho.
2026 Award Recipient
The 2026 Idaho Agriculture Leadership Award recipient will be announced at the Idaho Farmers Annual Meeting in June 2026 in Boise. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis.

To submit a nomination, contact Idaho Farmers at awards@idahofarmers.org with the nominee’s name, a description of their contributions, and your contact information. Nominations are reviewed by the Idaho Farmers Advisory Council and a final selection is made by Executive Director Patrick J. Wolf and the Board of Directors.
